Bad girl
So it isn't but about 3am. I just got home and I've already decided I'm not going to class tomorrow. I've been really annoyed with my new teacher, and, since I've spent the better part of the day drinking, I'm just not up to going to class tomorrow.
I promise, however, that the time spent today was WELL worth it.
Right now, though, I was just sitting outside the apartment building with a very drunk Artur, trying to get him to eat some cold rice from the 24 hour mart and drink some water. I was pointing to the moon and saying, "Look! It is almost full. It is beautiful! Try not to throw up in the rice...but aim for the fountain...where it will wash away with the flow of the water!" I've been around so many people drunk before, that I thought he would spill his guts, but, quite to the contrary, it was hard to get him to say ANYTHING. He has a lot on his mind, I know, and he just won't share with me!
I'm tired. Today was incredible, but insignificant at the same time. After class, Monica and I wanted to go get burgers at the local pub, Big Bamboo, and Tim, Oliver, Artur and Jerune followed us. I was there from 1pm until 12am. I was going to go home but Artur managed to wrangle me into going to a club called "BonBon". This happened to be one of the most amazing clubs I've ever been in (not just in Shanghai, mind you)! Not to mention, I met some very interesting people. Among them, was a Californian lawyer who I danced with for a good while until Artur came to get me because he "thought we were dancing too close" - I've got the brother I never had in Artur, I swear!
Anyway, the best part of the evening was at Big Bamboo where the pool table is free, but there only happens to be one. Jerune and I had managed to win three times in a row - pure luck, I swear, and one of the British gents we won from told me I was one of the best he'd ever played against. Of course he was only kidding me, but it did feel good to play some veterans and win...legitimately, that is...
And, I really have nothing to add - it was one of those nights that goes down in the annals of the mind, but can't really be described exactly. It was good. It was SO good that I'm not going to class tomorrow. Oh! There goes my perfect attendance record. Oh well...
